Khagrachhari is a district in the southeastern region of Bangladesh, part of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The district is bordered by India to the north and the Chittagong district to the west and south.

The district covers an area of approximately 2,749.16 square kilometers and is divided into nine Upazilas: Khagrachhari Sadar, Dighinala, Lakshmichhari, Mahalchhari, Manikchhari, Matiranga, Panchhari, Ramgarh, and Guimara. It is home to a diverse population, including various indigenous communities such as the Chakma, Marma, Tripura, and others, contributing to its rich cultural tapestry.

Economically, Khagrachhari is predominantly agrarian, with agriculture being the mainstay for most of its inhabitants. The fertile land supports the cultivation of crops like rice, vegetables, and fruits, especially pineapples and oranges, which are significant to the local economy.
