Noakhali District is an important commercial city located in the southeastern coastal region of Bangladesh. Places to visit here include Sonapur Beach, Chatla Haor, Hatiya Island, Ramgati, etc. Gandhi Ashram was established by Mahatma Gandhi during India's independence movement, this ashram holds historical significance. Begumganj Shahi Mosque and Chatla Shitala Mandir are also historical monuments here.

Noakhali Science and Technology University, Noakhali Law College, Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College, Noakhali Government College, Begumgonj Textile Engineering College, etc. are famous educational institutions in this district. The importance of this area is also immense from the administrative point of view.

As this district is economically and commercially important, several ongoing infrastructure projects, such as road widening, bridge construction, housing projects, etc., are underway to enhance connectivity.
