Gournadi, Barishal
Gournadi is an administrative unit of Barishal district, a division of Barishal, Bangladesh. Gournadi is located in the northeastern part of Bangladesh. It contains 37,047 homes and covers an area of 144.18 km2. According to the 2011 Bangladesh Census, the population of Gournadi Upazilla was 188,586 people living in 41,561 homes. With an average rate of 60.90% literacy and a sex ratio of 1045 females to 1000 males, Gournadi is a place of peace and joy. 42,438 people (22.50% of the population) reside in urban areas. The majority of the population is Muslim, with minorities including Hindus and Christians. The town also has a Hindu temple.
