Rajshahi

Located on the northern bank of the Padma River, Rajshahi is the divisional headquarters of Rajshahi Division and the administrative seat of both Rajshahi District and Rajshahi Metropolis. It is a metropolitan city as well as a major city and administrative, commercial and educational center of Bangladesh. Rajshahi city was established in 1634. It became a municipality in 1876 and a city in 1991. Rajshahi city has an area of ​​37.34 square miles and a population of around 10,85,000 as of 2022.
