Uposahar, Rajshahi

Located only 1.2 kilometers from Bindur Mor of central Rajshahi city, Uposahar is one of the prominent residential areas of the Rajshahi district. It is a part of wards no. 14 and 15 under the Rajshahi City Corporation and also part of Rajpara and Boalia Thanas.

The Uposahar area guide shows that it is close to the Rajshahi Cantonment area, which has the office of the Rajshahi Cantonment Executive. The entire area is filled with various types of residential and non-residential places, private and public offices, schools, colleges, universities, restaurants, and more.

While the area offers vast amenities, it lacks a broader transportation facility. The commonly used transports in the area are rickshaws, bikes, CNGs, private cars, etc. However, there are no bus routes in the Uposahar area.

Anyone who wants to travel via bus to other places has to go to Rajshahi-Naogaon Highway to Station Road to find a bus station. But that makes sense, given the fact that Uposahar is a residential area with limited public transportation.

There are three railway stations nearby, with the Rajshahi Railway Station being the nearest. The Rajshahi Court Railway Station and Rajshahi University Railway Stations are also only a short distance from the Uposahar area.

Some of the notable places in the area include Uposahar Mor, Uposahar Central Jame Mosjid, Uposahar Eidgah Field, New Market, etc. The area also has some residential inns and hotels.

Some of the notable educational institutions in Uposahar are Uposahar Model Primary School, Rajshahi Satellite Town High School, Uposahar Mohila College, Shahid A.H.M Kamaruzzaman Govt. Degree College, Premier Nursing College, etc.
