Jamalkhan, a land of 0.78 sq km, is the 21st ward under the Chattogram City Corporation. Its administrative activities fall under the coverage of Kotwali Thana.

Then there is the renowned Dr. Annadacharan Khastgir Girls’ High School. Dr. Annadacharan was known as the forerunner of Chattogram’s renaissance.
